International Shipping Services

Keep in mind…

  • You may need bubble wrap, newspaper, strong tape, scissors, permanent market, strong boxes (try supermarkets or buy at the Post Office)
  • You cannot send firearms, explosives, fireworks, weapons, fresh food, drugs, soil or plants, obscene materials, ammunition, goods for resale.
  • Label your boxes and keep your own lists of what is in each box.
  • Keep an estimate of the boxes’ value and insure things that you’re worried about.
  • Have prescriptions for any medicine/medication you are sending.
  • Keep non duty-free goods on a separate list.
  • List serial numbers of goods that have them.
  • Beware! Many shipping companies DO NOT deliver door-to-door, so extra charges may accumulate. Consider how you would get your baggage to and from the ports. Moving/Shipping companies don’t charge by weight but by volume (minimum is one cubic meter) so it’s only worth using a shipping company if you have over 100kg or odd shaped/fragile items to send.
  • If you intend to ship a car, it may take a considerable amount of time to organize before departure and there are many formalities such as customs inspections which can take up to 6 months!
